IGBC green cities rates Amaravati as ‘Platinum’ city

The IGBC has given the rating on the basis of the parameters including; city planning, heat mitigation, green building, public space and regions under green cover, environmental monitoring and others. A city is given a platinum rating if its score is between 76 and above, on whole Amaravati scored 78 out of 100 points. The ‘platinum’ is the highest rating a city can obtain as per a new category.A?

Cherukuri Sreedhar, Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) will receive the award from Prem C Jain, National Chairman of IGBC, during the three-day Happy Cities Summit, which is to be held at CK Convention center near Mangalgiri on April 10.

Earlier, Platinum award was given to ‘GIFT(Gujarat International Finance Tec) City’ a smaller city in Gujarat.
