Widest flyover to be constructed in NW Delhi to combat traffic


The Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently laid the foundation stone of the INR 437 crore project, which includes INR 55.59 crore for construction of railway overbridge.

Speaking on the occasion, Puri, said, nowadays Delhi is facing several challenges and the most critical challenge is population pressure. All the time in Delhi, there is traffic congestion and the Government is taking several steps for decongestion and the construction of this flyover is part of it.

It is estimated that the flyover-cum-ROB would cater to over 16 lakh commuters every day. This is the second project being funded by the Urban Development Ministry. Delhis first mega skywalk at ITO was the first project funded by the Ministry.
