A high-level delegation from Andhra Pradesh led by Principal Secretary (Investments and Infrastructure, CRDA) Ajay Jain participated in the Infrastructure Roundtable held in Singapore from September 25 to 27 to attract investors and infrastructure companies for the development of Amaravati.

The event was organised by International Enterprise Singapore, an organisation that assists Singapore infrastructure companies to offer their services all over Asia. Andhra Pradeshs Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu urged the industrialists to invest in Amaravati, which he described as a golden destination for global investors.

The Chief Minister stressed on the need for attracting more investments. During Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Partnership Summit earlier this year, MoUs of about 1.25 lakh crore-worth investments in Amaravati alone were signed.

Amaravati is the first city to be given the Greenfield smart city status and was sanctioned 500 crore through Ministry of Urban Development.

The team presented investment opportunities and scope of infrastructure development in Amaravati. Organisers arranged a separate session on the State and the opportunities in Amaravati at the roundtable conference.

Members of the delegation were Special Commissioner of CRDA Rama Manohara Rao, Additional Commissioner S Shan Mohan and others.
