Worlds Third-Tallest Building is One World Trade Centre

One World Trade Center 1One World Trade Centre in New York City (541 meters) has become the third highest building in the world, next in ranking to Burj Khalifa in Dubai (828 meters) and the Makkah Rover Clock Tower in Mecca, Saudi Arabia (601 meters) as per height criteria set by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).A? One World Trade Centre also ranks as the Worlds Tallest All-Office Building.

The construction of the One World Trade Centre started in 2005 and was under constant media focus as it had became the subject of massive global interest, when the CTBUH confirmed that the tower would be ‘The Tallest in North America.’ Its achievement as a symbol of toughness has also been well-acknowledged.

Douglas Durst, Chairman of the One World Trade Centres developer, The Durst Organisation, has recently received the CTBUH 2014 Lynn S. Beedle Lifetime Achievement Award in Chicago. Durst took the opportunity to confirm that the Durst Organisation would host a networking reception at the top of One World Trade Centre on the occasion of the CTBUH 2015 New York Conference, which will take place in October 2015 with the theme of Global Interchanges- Resurgence of the Skyscraper City.
