The Ahmedabad Urban Development Association (AUDA) has given permission for the first affordable housing scheme in the newly declared Residential Affordable Housing (RAH) zone in Khodiyar area.

The developers, Manubhai Patel Company, have been given permission to construct 53 housing units in the zone, which comes under Town Planning scheme – 60.

AUDA officials said that the housing apartment will be 24 meters high and will consist of six floors. Each house will have a buildup of 63 square meters. “This is the first affordable housing scheme in the RAH zone beyond Vaishnodevi. The procedures were simple. We expect more investors to turn up for the housing schemes in this zone,” said a senior AUDA official.
