Executive programme on infrastructure, planning and landscape for sustainable cities to be held at Erasmus University Rotterdam



A 7-day certificate programme for professionals involved in the fields of Infrastructure planning and design, urban planning and landscape architecture, infrastructure development and finance will be held at Rotterdam (The Netherlands) between 30 June and 6 July, 2019.

The programme is a collaborative effort between My Liveable City (MLC) and Institute for Housing & Urban Development Studies (IHS), Erasmus University, Rotterdam. MLC is an international knowledge platform devoted to making cities liveable for all. This platform is active India and the Netherlands and are publishers of a quarterly International magazine, they also organise conferences and knowledge tours. IHS is the proud recipient of the Global Centre of Excellence recognised by the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour award for its contribution to sustainable urban development.

The course will not only cover the background and theory of urban infrastructure but will also highlight how while developing infrastructure, by creative thinking and processes other goals of importance such as landscape enhancement, urban improvement and financial gains can be achieved. Additionally, the participants will be taken for on-site visits to exemplary projects and get a chance to meet with the professionals involved.

The programme is specially crafted for mid to senior level professionals from public and private sectors – governments, architects, civil engineers, landscape architects and urban planners and urban designers, policy-makers and financiers and academicians who together constitute the symbiotic ecosystem within which urban infrastructure is developed, designed and executed.
