A Nagpur-based NGO, Zero Gravity, recently renovated and transformed a girlsa�� shelter home run by the district Women and Child Development department the 1963 structure, suffering from leakages, and substandard light, ventilation and sanitation, is being repaired and enhanced through an innovative crowdfunding campaign, by partnering with the department that manages it.

Before starting the work, the group had researched the impact of living conditions on the psychology of kids. The inmates are actively involved in the revamping and donors from all over the country are helping to turn the shelter into a beautiful home.

Zero Gravity, founded in 2008, has been workingA�in the field of education, health care and rural development for a decade. They started the a�?Happy Schoola�� project six years ago, under which they transform government schools through holistic infrastructural makeovers using UNICEFa��s concept of Building As A Learning Aid. The group has partnered with 50 schools in three states. The NGO is currently taking institutional care of 500 children living in shelter homes.
