World Bank’s aid to Bangladesh for water supply project

The World Bank is offering aid to a Bangladesh project, known as Bangladesh Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project (BRWSSP), which will increase the safe water supply country’s rural areas. The World Bank is set to provide $75.0 million for the completion of the project which is scheduled in 2017 and will be implemented by Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE).

The project will improve the quality of both piped and non-piped water supply options in rural areas, as these waters are highly contaminated by arsenic and other pollutants such as salinity, iron, and bacterial pathogens.

Along with it, the project also aims at introducing and implementing hygienic sanitation services through community mobilization, hygiene promotion, incentive grants, and capacity enhancement of local small entrepreneurs. bactrim ds tablets purchase.
